RHS Year 6
Henley Schools Environmental Science Project
Sustainable Eating
Thank you for visiting our Online Science School Project website. We have asked questions, undertaken research, analysed date, shown creativity, grown our own food, educated our school community and collaborated with our peers. Take a look around and explore our Online Science School Project. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, or would like to learn more.
Eating Sustainably
How do we eat and how we can we improve this?
Tackling this project required breaking it into different parts that interested us. The most important stage was outlining our goals and defining the research questions.
We decided to focus on four main aspects:
Food Wastage
Meat-free Mondays
Grow our own
Seasonal Eating
Intro
Aims of the competition
Greener Henley told us:
● Our aim to stimulate in Primary School Children, an interest in science and the environment,
● We hope that this will lead to
- Enhanced environmental and scientific awareness
- Improved local environment and changed community behaviour
“I have learnt that we all take food for granted, when there are so many hungry starving people in the world, we all just eat so much food and we waste it too.”
